Two of our teachers on what the work is actually like.
“The thing I did not expect was how much the marking matters. Every paper comes back the same week with a result sheet, so I know by Tuesday which three students need a different explanation on Saturday. You are never teaching blind here.”
“I came from a high school and worried the students would be too young for real rigour. They are not. A Year 3 class that has been told exactly what it got wrong last week will argue a comprehension answer with you, and that is the best part of the job.”
